Rosarita is an exceptional stone made valuable not only because it's a slag-like glass that's a byproduct of gold refining--as I understand it, it derives its unique deep red from the inclusion of gold--but it's also a beast to cut and shape properly. My supplier said there's nearly 90% waste for specialty cuts like these.
